Looking to start your morning on a high note? Is coffee your lifeblood? We've done the research to bring you the best coffee on Long Beach Island so you never have to ruin your morning (or afternoon) with a bad cup of the good stuff. Without further ado, here are our favorite coffee shops on the island.

The Local Market & Kitchen

The Local Market & Kitchen is a casual market in Ship Bottom with an innovative menu of coffee drinks, cold brew, iced tea and more. They also offer a delightful spread of homemade baked goods, prepared food, and delicious sandwiches that you can enjoy on their outdoor patio. For something classic, go with the Hawaiian Macadamia cold brew. For something fancy, s’mores latte all day.

How You Brewin'

With two locations in Surf City and Barnegat Light, this local coffee house is a welcoming environment for folks to gather and has been deemed the "LBI meeting place” by locals. How You Brewin' has ample seating to come with friends or have a relaxing morning with your book. They offer various hot and iced coffee options, mocktails, and tasty options for breakfast and lunch. We suggest the Chai Latte or the Frozen Cold Brew Horchata. ;)

Surfside Coffee House

What's better than sipping coffee by the beach? Nothing. We say nothing. Surfside Coffee House is a cash-only institution that provides a wide selection of coffee, espresso, tea, and blended drinks (Cold Capps! Yogucchinos!). In our opinion, the breakfast burritos and sandwiches are non-negotiable with any order, but the smoothies and fresh juices will also satisfy the carb-conscious.

Coastal Coffee Company

Coastal Coffee Company offers a calm oasis for you to enjoy your coffee in Beach Haven. The cafe has a ton of gourmet coffee and espresso drinks, iced teas, and blended lemonades to choose from, plus acai bowls and avocado toast that pair delightfully with your caffeine fix. Massive bonus: they have nine milk options including coconut, macadamia and oat for those looking for a dairy-free addition.
