There's nothing like an ice cold beer. Cracking a cold one is a sweet sound of relief; it can cool you off on a hot day or ease you into relaxation. Your work day is over and it's time to play. But, there is still one question to be answered… where are you drinking? Your couch seems fine, but maybe you are craving something different than what your fridge has to offer.

We know this question is not uncommon so we've put together a list of places with the best beer selections locally. Although we love Coronas or Bud Lights, sometimes it's nice to try a new beer. Local brews, IPAs, or craft beer, we've got you covered. Check out our list of local breweries, taprooms, or restaurants with solid beer lists on LBI.

Triton Craft Beer and Oyster Bar

Triton is currently open for Friday-Sunday hours in the fall. It is a charming setting with a wine shop and long, communal tables for any visitors looking to dine in while they drink some brews. Try a new beer from their rotating selection of micro and craft breweries while you suck down $1 oysters and clams during their happy hour. Triton also serves wood fired pizzas if you are looking for something more substantial.

The Arlington

The Arlington is a hip taproom in Ship Bottom where you will never run out of options. With over 20 draft beers to choose from, everyone can find something they will like. Plus, you can pick up a growler to go if you find a beer that you just can't bear to part with. If you get hungry, they have a full menu of new American fare and also serve wine and cocktails. They are open year round so you can continue to enjoy the laid back atmosphere as it gets cooler.

Ship Bottom Brewery

Drinking local beer is a great way to support the community. A trip to Ship Bottom Brewery will feel no different. Sit in the Beach Haven tasting room and enjoy a surfboard flight of 4 beers. It will allow you to try classics like their Mermaid Blonde Ale (summer ale) or fun concoctions like their Pina Colada IPA or Lemon Basil Saison Ale. Once you figure out what you like, you can go ahead and get yourself a pint. They are open year-round and also make their own hard seltzer.

Station 117 Tavern & Garden

Station 117 Tavern & Garden should be your go to hangout on the weekend with friends and family in Beach Haven. With plenty of cocktail offerings and draft beers, you will never get bored by the drink menu. They also host live music so you can get your groove on while you sip on a lager or IPA.

The Mainland

The Mainland in Manahawkin is a destination for the whole family. It boasts an all-day restaurant and bar as well as an adventure park. The restaurant and pub has a long list of beers that you can pair with some tasty new American apps. Go ahead, mark that calendar for a Cape May Honey Porter or Asbury Park Blonde at Mainland with the whole gang.

Manafirkin Brewin Co.

From Wednesday to Sunday, you can get your drink on at Manafirkin Brewin Co. Make yourself comfortable in their beer garden and choose from over 30 handcrafted ales to taste. Try unique combinations like their Quats Going on Sour or Done in a Jiffy Peanut Butter Porter. If you already know what you like, you can also order online and pick up.
