Family vacay is all about spending time with the people you love most, and while an occasional night away from the kids is much needed, you’re here for the family fun. That means you’ll definitely need to know which restaurants are the most kid-friendly for when the whole family goes out — we’re talking kid’s menus, crayons, high chairs, and of course, relaxed vibes.

We’ve compiled a list of kid-approved spots that you will absolutely love. Whether it's a night out with the whole family or a quick lunch before the beach, these places are our favorite “fast-casual” type of restaurants that are perfect for a family on the go.

Woodie’s Drive-In

If your kids are “burger and fries” kids, then Woodie's Drive-In is the perfect place to bring them to make family memories. Their outdoor dining space is dotted with picnic tables, located right on the boulevard and super casual. Woodie’s simple but delicious menu is totally kid friendly and the kid’s menu itself includes classics like burgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs and even a cheese quesadilla. For the parents, aside from the obvious suspects, there are plenty of healthy options like salads and veggie burgers. Finish it all off with some ice cream and it’ll turn into your weekly spot!

Uncle Will’s

Your kids may ask you why your house can’t be decorated with pigs from floor to ceiling, but the risk is worth it at Uncle Will’s! The fun decor isn’t the only thing in excess here — the menu is loaded with crazy delicious choices for breakfast and lunch, and the pancakes, waffles and french toast are stand-outs. They have an entire kid’s breakfast menu with small portions of the adult stuff, and the service here is super friendly and fun. They even have the perfect mimosa setup for mom and dad if you BYOB.

Barry’s Do Me a Flavor

It doesn’t get much more kid-friendly than Barry’s Do Me a Flavor. The menu has a little bit of everything including sandwiches, pizza, baskets, burgers and cheesesteaks. Everyone will leave happy after Barry’s and it will quickly become part of your restaurant rotation on LBI. A trip to Barry’s isn’t complete without some ice cream! Step right up to their ice cream counter for a classic ice cream soda or even a “pamwich,” soft-serve ice cream served between two homemade chocolate chip cookies!

Holiday Snack Bar

The Holiday Snack Bar is an LBI staple that is also kid friendly! If you’re staying on LBI or just visiting for the day, your trip is not complete without stopping by this classic spot. It’s off the beaten path, so it might be easy to miss, but once you try this place you will be obsessed! Holiday Snack Bar offers a mix of Americana vibes and comfort food. The kids will love the cheeseburgers but they’ll keep asking to come back for the cakes. Try the “Lady Lord Baltimore” cake for a delectable after lunch treat. The four-layer cake has both chocolate and white icing and one slice is seriously just never enough.
