Rooftop restaurants and bars are the essential summer hack. They feel fancy for no reason other than that you’re in the sky, and that’s the exact type of fancy we want. You can enjoy the sunshine and easy, breezy views of the great beyond while someone else makes your drink, and you don’t have to clean up afterwards. That’s a BIG YES for us, people who love drinking on the patio but hate that’s it’s self-serve. Someone else make our espresso martini, please!

Lucky for you we’ve drank our way through every spot in Long Beach Island to find the best rooftop bars that cater to your many moods. Find signature cocktails, classic vodka sodas, high-quality wine and buckets 'o’ beer at these rooftop bars.

Hotel LBI

Inside of Hotel LBI, a luxury rooftop experience awaits you. While you enjoy bay views, you can also play games like corn hole and life size checkers while you sip on creative cocktails like a Vanilla Paloma. No judgment though if you want to stick to a classic like a Moscow Mule. They offer fire pits so you can still enjoy the atmosphere as the fall air starts to creep in. Be sure to make a reservation for guaranteed access as there is a capacity and and we’d hate for you to miss this sunset!

Daddy O's

The rooftop at Daddy O's in Brant Beach offers a lively, bar setting and beautiful bay views. They really lean into a tiki experience here, with beach-themed cocktails (Coral Margarita or the Coco Tini) that are sure to put you on island time. Sushi and small plates are also available to pair with your bevvy of choice, which we’d suggest after you’ve had a few of those drinks. ;)

Buoy Bar

Still relatively new to the LBI scene, Buoy Bar sits on top of local favorite Tucker’s Tavern in Beach Haven. We recommend coming here for light bites to watch the sunset or an aperitif before dinner at Tucker’s Tavern. While Buoy Bar's menu is smaller, it still offers a range of creative appetizers and fun cocktails. Try the lump crab tatsoi dip while you enjoy an Orange Crush (made with Deep Eddy Orange vodka and fresh squeezed OJ). Coupled with fabulous views, you will not be disappointed!

Bird & Betty's

Serving up craft cocktails and live music, a trip to Bird and Betty's in Beach Haven is a guaranteed good time. With a 70’s vibe that will have you looking for your roller skates, the vibe here is 11/10 chill, with calm bay views to match. We recommend trying the house special, a Shipwreck, which is a frozen rum drink that’ll transport you right to that beach chair. The clam pizza is also a crowd pleaser here, but can you ever really go wrong with some NJ pizza? Don't miss their happy hour from 3-6 PM!
