It’s a great option for when you can sneak away from your responsibilities last-minute and reservations just aren’t an option. Jen’s Links Mini Golf and Viking Fresh Off the Hook
Head north to Barnegat Light for a mini golf and seafood date night! Head to Jen’s Links in Barnegat Light for one of the best mini golf courses on LBI. With two course options, a “high tide” course that takes you over waterfalls and provides some of the best views and the “low tide” course which winds under caverns and waterfalls, you’ll be blown away by these courses. After a tough 18-hole course, you and your date will be famished and ready for some dinner. Go right to the source where most LBI restaurants get their seafood, Viking Fresh Off The Hook. If you’re looking for some crazy fresh fish, scallops and mussels, this is definitely the place to be. Plan to hit this bay side favorite on a night they have live music for a romantic sunset vibe and grab a bottle of local wine to enjoy while you’re there.
Escape LBI and Black Whale
Do you and your date have what it takes to make it out of the escape room before time is up? Test out your teamwork skills (and maybe even your compatibility) at Escape LBI. Choose from three different room themes and get ready to use your thinking cap! If you and your date can survive the escape room, it’s time to hit Black Whale for some dinner and drinks. This cozy bar only has a few seats so it’s the perfect intimate vibe for a date after an escape room experience. Share some oysters on the half shell and wash it down with an ice cold beer. It’s the perfect place to post up on date night for lots of great food, drinks and laughs.
Ship Bottom Brewery and Chicken or the Egg
The Ship Bottom Brewery’s new beer garden is the perfect spot for a date night with your craft beer-loving companion. Our date night tip? Grab take out from one of the many surrounding restaurants before arriving at the beer garden. We love grabbing Chicken or the Egg takeout because it compliments our favorite beers perfectly. Order a dozen Beesting wings and a basket of cheese fries to share and you’ll be set for dinner. An ice cold Shoobie Pale Ale compliments the spice of the CHEGG wings perfectly. Not into beer? They also have new seltzers that are definitely worth a try. Take a walk around Bay Village after dinner for some ice cream and people watching and you’ve got the perfect date night.

If you’re looking for something a little fancier to impress your date, Hotel LBI is a great spot for amazing food and incredible views. Start off with reservations at the hotel’s restaurant, Salt Kitchen. This upscale dining spot offers modern seaside fare with an emphasis on local ingredients. There’s lots of raw bar options but if you’re really aiming to impress, get the seafood tower stacked with lobster, king crab, shrimp and oysters. After dinner, head up to the hotel’s rooftop bar for some spectacular sunset views. Grab a cocktail and get ready to post some cute Instagram pictures with your date.
