Where to Treat Your Mom This Mother’s Day
April showers bring May flowers… AND restaurant openings, just in time for Mother’s Day!
We absolutely love to treat our moms for Mother’s Day and we’re obsessed with making sure her day is perfect. While everyone has their Mother’s Day traditions like going out for brunch or enjoying an intimate dinner, maybe this year it’s time to shake things up! Whether mom is looking for something low key and laid back or something as elegant and extravagant as she is, we’ve got something to make every mom happy...well as long as she loves food ;).
Stefano’s
This Italian restaurant is a local favorite on LBI and opening April 30th for the season! We don’t need an excuse to be reunited with the Mediterranean calamari and crab cakes, but wining and dining mom is a pretty good one. We are so happy to see Stefano’s outdoor dining setup is back and better than ever this year — white tablecloths and chandeliers outside? We’re so here for it. Splurge on a bottle of wine to bring along and plan to leave in the best food coma ever after dessert and cappuccinos. Make reservations early on OpenTable because your mom deserves only the best.
Parker’s Garage
We’ve been counting the days until this gorgeous wharfside spot opens their doors again and we’re seriously drooling after looking at their Mother’s Day brunch menu. Any excuse to indulge in a raw bar and we know our moms are THERE. Parker’s Garage is an absolute must for any foodie and their mom. This year they’re bringing us Mother’s Day brunch by the bay and the vibes to match. The pre-fixed menu includes three courses and is just $45 for adults. If your fam is planning on rolling up with less than 6 people, make sure you get on Resy ASAP to reserve your table because we aren’t the only ones who are obsessed with Parker’s!
The Gables
If you’re planning on bringing mom to dinner at The Gables, be prepared to be blown away. This cozy beach cottage is offering a prix fixe menu for $79 a person on Mother’s Day that will leave you speechless. Dine on their patio nestled in huge hydrangea bushes or in their cozy back garden with gas gear lamps and plenty of flowers to enjoy. The Gables is BYOB and we think it’s the perfect excuse to crack open that fancy bottle of wine you’ve been saving for a special occasion. They are taking reservations through OpenTable here.
Station 117
Try something new this Mother’s Day at Station 117. The light and bright modern space is the perfect ambiance to celebrate mom, and we know she’ll appreciate their huge specialty cocktail menu. If the weather is right, we always sit outside and pretend it’s already summer with a frozen marg to kick off the meal. If it’s your first time here, we recommend ordering a bunch of the small plates so you can really get a feel for this eclectic coastal menu. Start with the crab cakes and baked oysters and you can never go wrong with a burrata for the table. For your entree you can’t miss the Viking Village scallops and polenta. They operate on a waitlist using Yelp, making it easy to get a table without a reservation.
Luxury Beach Picnic
Think outside the box and surprise mom with her very own luxury beach picnic for Mother’s Day! We know, this sounds like a ~ton~ of work and there’s no way you would possibly be able to pull off this surprise BUT, that’s where Picnic Perfect, LBI’s new luxury picnic service, comes in. Picnic Perfect creates the perfect beach side tablescape and iconic Instagram spot for your event. Just give them all the details and they make it happen. Pickup food from your favorite restaurant to bring along or have Picnic Perfect take care of dinner. They partner with local restaurants and charcuterie creators to make sure your beach fare is ready for its close up. All you have to do is get mom to the beach and then sit back and enjoy!
