Avoid shore traffic and take the road less traveled. Drive your boat right on up to these LBI restaurants.

Long Beach Island and the surrounding area is a boater’s paradise. If you can navigate the ins and outs of our local waterways and bays, you’re SET. Take the boat out and pull up in style at these restaurants on the water that offer free boat parking and incredible sunset views.

Whether you’re looking for something low-key and off the beaten path or a hoppin’ bar scene, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our list of the best restaurants on LBI that are accessible by boat.

Parker’s Garage

Pull up your boat to Parker’s Garage for some bayfront dining and seriously delicious food. Explore their shareable menu for gems like the lobster corn dogs and Nashville hot oysters while enjoying the huge open-air space filled with old maritime decor. Parker’s is BYOB so make sure you plan ahead for whatever mood you’re in. It’s one of our favorite places to eat with a crowd, especially if you’re looking for something a little more refined, so be sure your boating buddies are in tow.

Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse

Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse is our favorite hole-in-the-wall seafood spot with boat parking! Dock your boat for a huge selection of locally-caught scallops, tuna, oysters, and of course, clams. Polly’s serves fresh, local seafood exactly how you like it — fried, boiled, seared or covered in butter. BYOB to this spot and maybe even catch some live music. You can also rent a boat here for a day to go out and catch your own dinner!

Bird and Betty’s

If you’re looking for the party in Beach Haven, you’ll almost always find it at Bird and Betty’s. Pull your boat up to one of their boat slips and get ready for creative cocktails, tasty food and GREAT views on their new deck. If you’re stopping by for dinner, you have to try the clam pie loaded with littleneck clams, garlic and lots of cheese. Pair with one of their famous daiquiris and you’re set.

The Boatyard

The Boatyard sits smack in the middle of the Causeway Bridge, making it the perfect meeting place for those both on AND off the island. The waterfront beer garden is home to the Causeway Marina so there’s plenty of parking, which can be hard to come by in the heat of the summer. Come in your swimsuit for a drink and stay for the food trucks and corn hole. There’s something for everyone, from chicken fingers and clam strips to lobster rolls and fish tacos.
